Melroe CVA: 7 year old Haflinger gelding, AHR Reg # 17457-01. Mel is a very beautiful, showy, glistening copper chestnut, with a double white mane, full white tail, and he stands 60" tall (15 hands). His Sire & Dam are Dutch Imports.

He has been in OPEN SHOWS this summer performing in both English & Western disciplines as well as Halter classes - and doing Very Well. Mel was a 2 time “SUPREME CHAMPION” at our 2008 County Fair in both the DRAFT & PLEASURE Divisions !!! He will be showing at the AHR SHOW, Sept. 10-13, and the GLHA SHOW, Oct. 9-11.

Jim & Mel have been working with a Professional Horsemanship Trainer to: disengage hindquarters, move the front end, leg yield, forward motion, lateral and vertical flexion, achieving lightness and responsiveness to your seat and legs, counter bends, haunches-in, shoulders-in and lead changes. He has great DRESSAGE POTENTIAL! They’ll be working on: half-passes, rollbacks and spins.

Mel is Great on the TRAILS - Crossing Creeks, and jumping logs! Watch/ask for the VIDEO!

He has an Easy Going Disposition, Balanced Confirmation, and Flowing Movement. He stands very well for trimming, shoeing, Vacuuming, washing, spraying, clipping and loading.
